Maghe Sankranti
Maghe Sankranti is a Nepalese festival observed on the first of Magh in the Bikram Samwat Nepali calendar. On this day, the sun is believed to leave its southernmost position and begin its northward journey. Maghe Sankranti is one of the religious festivals celebrated in nepal. Sankranti is first day of the month and magh is the month we celebrate this festival. So as it is first day of the magh, we call it maghe sankranti.
