Go fishing this summer

If you are a parent and you are looking to make the most of the outdoor activities with your kids and family this half term, then fishing can be a great option.

We had a great fishing experience with the kids this weekend. If you live around the Reading area - Tillinbourne Farm & Smokery can be a great place to visit which is just around 30 miles from Reading or you can just search "fishing near me" on Google to figure out the best possible fishing sites near your location.

For many children, fishing can be the perfect summer activity especially when they are experiencing it for the first time. Also, it's a perfect way to spend time together outdoors enjoying the fresh air. Here in Tillinbourne Farm & Smokery, you don't need any fishing equipment. They will provide you with pole rods and bait (sweetcorn or bread) but if you do have your rods, and bait you can bring it along. Each booking costs £10 and consists of the hire of 2 fishing rods and a maximum of 6 people per booking. Fish caught are charged per kilo, they are weighed in and then a member of staff can clean the gut, and you can take them home.

You need to trust the process and all you need to have is patience, patience and more patience because you'll always remember the first time you caught a fish.

So this summer holidays, why not give fishing a try? Just make sure that the sun is shining :)
